UOL selects TestTree StreamProbe to monitor the QoS & QoE of its OTT services in AWS

Rennes – November 28 2024 – TestTree -24/7 Video QoS & QoE monitoring solution provider from end to end- is pleased to announce that UOL Group -the largest content, technology, services and payment methods company in Brazil- has selected StreamProbe to monitor its OTT video streaming offer UOL PLAY.

UOL Group offers more than 1,000 channels of journalism, information, entertainment and services. It also offers several entertainment products, including UOL Play, a major OTT streaming service in Brazil, successfully launched in 2020.

Since 2023, UOL has deployed its own OTT streaming platform on AWS to manage all stages of video processing itself (transcoding, packaging …), and thus have full control over the quality of its streaming service. To successfully deploy this new cloud platform, UOL has selected TestTree to rely on its expertise in video quality monitoring and in the different challenges raised by video streaming in the cloud. As an AWS partner, TestTree has successfully validated the AWS Foundational Technical Review, which certifies its software solutions in terms of security, easy deployment and scalability.

In this project, StreamProbe solution provides UOL PLAY with 24/7 quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) monitoring. The solution offers a centralized overview of all the DASH and HLS services, including all their profiles. This enables UOL teams to identify any anomalies at a glance, and to access relevant details with a single click, to anticipate issues, or quicky resolve them if they occur.

Furthermore, TestTree has integrated UOL DRM mechanisms into the StreamProbe solution, enabling QoE monitoring while protecting UOL content from unauthorized use or copying.
