TestTree speaks at the annual NAB Broadcast Engineering & IT (BEIT) 2021 online Conference

TestTree is participating at the BEIT Online 2021 conference that provides online video-on-demand (VOD) presentations. TestTree presents a paper about how to ensure Quality of Service with Next Gen TV “Lighthouse”.

The “Lighthouse” channel-sharing scenario has been designed to leverage on the existing transmitting infrastructure to manage the simulcast between legacy ATSC 1.0 services and Next Gen TV ATSC 3.0 broadcasting. This paper details this “Lighthouse” scenario highlighting the challenges faced by broadcast stations, and how Test & Monitoring is the daily companion of the stations during the transition and once the ATSC 3.0 signal is on-air.
